Representative of the people of Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Chairman Finance and Appropriation, Rt. Hon. Usoro Akpanusoh has said that Esit Eket local government area remains PDP and will deliver all PDP Candidates from the national level to the State House of Assembly in the coming general election.
Akpanusoh made this submission when he visited the Paramount Ruler of Esit Eket local government area, HRM Ubong Assam to seek the royal blessing ahead of 2019 general election. “Esit Eket started with PDP and will remain a PDP local government area,” he stated.
Declaring his intention to continue to give more quality representation, Akpanusoh noted that the people of Esit Eket/Ibeno State House of Assembly deserves the best to continue in offering services to his constituents. He said he has facilitated the appointment of 15 teachers in the last 3 years, promising to double his effort in second term.
“I came to seek the blessing of my father to continue in office in 2019,” he declared.
He solicited more support for governor Udom Emmanuel, saying that returning him back to Hilltop Mansion in 2019 will attract more development to Esit Eket. Akpanusoh reiterated the need for Esit Eket to continue to support PDP, declaring victory for all PDP candidates in the coming general elections.
“PDP will win this election because we have worked and deserves victory. We are not a party that believe in writing of names. You have to campaign, you have to meet people and spend your resources to solicit for their votes,” he added.
Akpanusoh asked the people of Esit Eket not to support APC as the party is anti-Esit Eket after collecting the position of MD of NDDC and gave it to someone from another LGA.
“It was a PDP government that gave Esit Eket Managing Director of NDDC but APC led government collected it from us. It is the wish of Esit Eket that God will see His Excellency, Udom Emmanuel through and I will win to continue beyond 2019. He noted that it was resolved in Esit Eket local government that each person should hold on to what is in his hands, advising Nsima Ekere to remain in NDDC as MD while Udom Emmanuel continues in office as governor.
He further said that he had remained a humble leader and haven’t insulted anyone either big or small, hence the wider acceptance of his candidature by his people, promising to reciprocate their gesture by doubling his representation. He also noted the cordial relationship that has existed between the paramount ruler and members of the TRC, urging the people to learn to forgive one another.
Responding, the Paramount Ruler of Esit Eket local government area, HRM Ubong Assam said Usoro Akpanusoh deserves another four years in office having assessed his performance so far, urging the people of Esit Eket to vote him and Udom Emmanuel to victory in 2019.

He expressed disappointment that APC administration, having brought so much hardship in the country still come out shamelessly to seek for votes to continue to plunge the country economy into jeopardy, saying that Esit Eket have already rejected them.
“APC has brought untold hardship to the country and caused violent act in Akwa ibom State House of Assembly, something which is very strange to us. They should be rejected at the poll, he urged his people.
