In the early hours of yesterday, Okon youths gathered to reaffirm their uncommon support to the PDP and the reelection of Deac. Udom Emmanuel for a second term.
The convener, Snr. Comr. Daniel Essien in collaboration with the Youth stakeholders of Okon Clan thanked the youths of Okon clan for their consistent and committed support to the PDP and he also implore them to remain steadfast and committed especially to reelection of Deac. Udom Emmanuel for a second term come 2019 general elections.
He also pleaded with the youths to shun violence and other social vices as this posses negative effect on the sustainable growth and rapid development of a society.
He also advised on trending issues of protest and road blocks by the youths of Okon which he said was a wrong approach to achieve any substantial dividends of democracy and representation, he said that dialogue and persuasive negotiation is a better approach to achieve great result in difficult situations hence, he pleaded that the Youths should desist from taking laws into their hands by blocking roads as a method of demonstrating their resentment.
Conclusively, he said all hands must be on deck to return Deac. Udom Emmanuel for a second term and every other PDP candidate come 2019 General elections.
He also congratulated all PDP candidates who emerged victorious in the just concluded party primaries.
“Okon Clan will vote PDP 100 % come 2019 General Elections”.
